WedDing sEt Up .. enD of The JouRney

And so my friends we come to the end of our journey …My last post about Lauren’s wedding will cement into everybodys mind who is contemplating DYI wedding why people choose to leave it to the professional’s ..
Pick up the Gyp. from wholesaler ..easy task I hear you say and yes I thought it was going to be easy ..BUT ..nothing is easy when working with natural products …
Let me see what went wrong …mmmm….
The Gyp. was flown in and it come in with browning ..let me put this into perspective for you all ..
It took 3 of us about 5 hours to individually hand pick and sort through 160 bunches of Gyp.
Then the Phalaenopsis Orchids for the wrist corsages came in large instead of small and dainty so I had to make them fit …
The electricity went out just as I was making the Bouquets ..thank goodness not for too long ..
My little helper forgot to put the right tag on each Bouquet …
The arrangement for the church wasn’t fitting in the small opening of the vases so I had to rethink my design …
My delivery driver had to go to the Port Power game so he wasn’t moving the 2 church arrangements after the ceremony …Irena and her loving husband did …
My saving grace ….. Lauren, her mum and her lovely mother in-law were the most beautiful clients to work with and all my running around, all my frustrations, all my ‘what else could go wrong’ …was all worth it..Big thanks for being so lovely ..
I end this blog with the same words as my first..
Stop ..Breath.. Read this… Blog over and over again until the DYI feeling passes ..
And FYI check my website in the coming weeks for photo’s from the lovely ‘Bianca DeMarchi Photography’ who took all the wedding pic’s for Lauren and Michael.
